Fun and Exciting experiences worth savouring when you visit Santorini
1.    Volcanic Nectar
The most beautiful moment in summer is when the sun sets and you are sipping a cocktail. This becomes all the more magic on Santorini, an island famous for its views, at a bar overlooking the caldera that is renowned for its cocktails – Crystal

2.    Fairytale – like holidays with a view of the caldera

In a prime location right across from the volcano’s crater, Tholos Resort is justly proud of the panoramic views from all its rooms. A plus this year are the newly-installed outdoor private Jacuzzis, that transform your stay in the senior suites into magic. The same goes for the completely revamped menu of the hotel’s restaurant

Located at the mediaeval village of Pyrgos, on the highest peak at the centre of the island, it has a captivating location amid the vine-yards and vegetable gardens and a view of the entire island. Much awarded, it has been in operation since 1986, serving truly creative Greek cuisine

4.    Naval Museum of Oia
The  nautical history of Santorini, particularly during its heyday in the 19th century, when Santorinian boats sailed the entire Eastern Mediterranean, from the Black Sea to Egypt, carrying pumice for the Suez Canal opening, or Vinsanto, the famous Santorinian wine that for many years was used as Communion wine by the orthodox churches of the Russian Empire. The museum is housed in a traditional marvelously restored 19th century house that once belonged to a captain, and which was donated by Oia-resident Dina Manolessou Birbili

5.    Kokkini Ammos, Akrotiri
It could be said that is the most “ancient” beach on the island, as it depicted on a fresco unearthed at Akrotiri. Crystal – blue water and red volcanic rock, only 500 m from the archaeological site.

Dry White Wine
Protected Designation of Origin: Santorini
Grape varieties: The classic santorini varieties – the structured Asssyrtiko Athiri and Aidani
The wine behind the label: Late harvest grapes. Matured for 3 months in French  oak barrels and aged for 3 months in bottle. Deep gold green. Explosive nose, with aromas of honey, seet spices and minerality. Powerful on the palate, full of extract. Alcohol: 14,5% vol.

8.    A tour around the archaeological site of Akrotiri
In the south of the island lies Akrotiri, one of the most important Aegean settlements of the early Bronze Age (first half of the 2nd millennium B.C.). The settlement was deserted because of the eruption of the volcano, but it was saved too for the same reason. Volcanic material covered it preserving the evidence of its glorious past: the vast territory, the multi-storeyed houses with exquisite frescoes, an amazing sewer system, stone streets and squares, and a multitude of luxurious vases and items of furniture.
